Quinn kicked out Roxie's loose tooth tonight!

He was kicking her in the face and out came the tooth!

This is her 4th tooth, all from the bottom set - unusual!!

My winter garden

This is our first winter garden. Jessica and I did the bulk of the work, but Phoebe and Roxie helped some too. Quinn basically kept messing with us and the planting areas while we planted.

This first box has three flowers planted: Pentas graffiti mix, cuphea hyssopifolia broder southern (currently dying) and and Iceland poppy. There is yellow chard, arichoke (1), cauliflower, broccoli, romanesco, broccoli, gourmet blend beets (from seed), and red onion (from seed) - RAD!

This box has the following flowers: a row (4) of dianthus telstar mix and a bacopa hybrida in the far right hand corner. Spinach, arugala, artichoke (1), red chard (from seed), danvers carrots (from seed), replanted beet seedlings (from seed), green onions, volunteer cilantro (from my summer plantings), and fava beans.

This box has violas and a nemesia (and an angelface snap dragon which did not make it!) for the flower plantings. The veggies planted are yellow chard, replanted beet seedlings from the first box, broccoli, broccoli romanesco, cauliflower, purple cabbage (Roxanne variety!), lacinto kale (from seed) and little finger carrots.

The fourth box has some replanted petunas from the summer planting and a plumbago escapade blue for flower plantings. Veggie plantings include brussel sprouts, red romaine lettuce, mixed leaf lettuces, butter lettuces, basil from seed, fava beans, and three replanted chard plants from summer (still producing). Amazing fun! Hope the kids eat more veggies from this exercise.
